John, this conundrum is not going away, I don’t have to tell you. It IS the problem. In the woke paradigm a nuanced position, which requires people to analyze their opinions in light of facts and to challenge contradictions in their thinking, is for racist snivelers. Do you believe in racial equity and justice, or don’t you? If so, you will go along with anything that privileges Blacks, no matter how concocted, contradictory, or obviously detrimental to Black people it may be. We’re not getting into the weeds! That’s obfuscation, or, if you will, oversimplification. We don’t have time for that! We can’t even!

It’s helpful to me, as an admirer and supporter of your work, to read your analysis of this frustrating, infuriating, but foundational aspect of social justice, which is an ideological cult. Simply by thinking for yourself and trusting your lying eyes, you’ve had the pleasure of bumping up against ideological bullying for several decades now. Nobody knows better than you how this will go down. A little pre-emptive mental calisthenics doesn’t hurt. But please, don’t forget that for every one-dimensional SJW who tries to eviscerate you, there are a hundred people who are grateful that you’re writing and thinking — not because we’re fragile, white supremacist nazis, but because we’re exactly the opposite.

Part of what makes Wokeism a secular religion is the priestly nature of those who constitute The Elect. To interpret the cannon one must first be ordained into the priesthood. To question the tenets of the cannon without ordination is but blasphemy.
